TYPES OF GRANITE IN RAJASTHAN

Rajasthan is a northern state of India which is renowned for its granite and marbles.  It is home to different types of granite. Most of the quarries of Rajasthan are in the following regions: Jalore, Sirohi, Rajsamad, Udaipur, Ajmer and Bhilwara. There are many processing units in Rajasthan which not only process stones from Rajasthan but also from other neighboring states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh etc.

Crystal yellow

Crystal yellow is yellow granite which as black gray colored small shapes in the background of the stone. Mines of this granite are in Gujarat. Because of its consistent pattern and toughness it is widely used for flooring, countertops and staircases.

Alaska White

Alaska White is relatively new granite from India. It is mid level expensive and is relatively soft material. It is very popular all over the world due to its frosty appearance and unique pattern.

Alaska Gold

Alaska gold is kind of gold granite quarried in Rajasthan. One can observe different shades of the golden color in the different part of the stone. Just like Alaska White it is also a new stone and is widely used for making premium countertops.

New Imperial Red

New imperial Red is one of the most popular granite of India. There are number of small black gray stripes like pattern in the red surface of the stone. Sometimes this granite has little bit pinkish color.

Platinum white

Platinum white also known as P white is white granite whose quarries are situated in the Jalore. As it is abundantly available it is less expensive than the most granite found in India. Hence it is a good choice for big projects.

Rajasthan Black

Rajasthan Black is black granite having blue dots in the black grey background of the stone. It is also known by other names such as Black Fantasy and Ash Black. It can be a good substitute for Absolute Black granite.

Black marinace

Black Marinace is a variant of black granite having multiple brown and white rocks like shapes in the black background of the stone. These white and brown shapes vary in size and number. It is relatively soft stone so it should handle with care.

Blue Dunes

Blue dunes is a brown colored stone having dark and like brown branches like pattern in the background of the stone. These branches like pattern are not same in all areas of the stone.  It is also known as Azul Dunes granite.

Chima Pink

Chima Pink is a light pink granite having number of small white, black and grey particles in the pink surface of the stone. Its quarries are situated in the Jalore region of Rajasthan. Because of its bright color and high durability it is used for manufacturing kitchen countertops.

Rosy Pink

Rosy Pink is also pink granite which looks similar to the Chima Pink granite. Major difference between Rosy Pink and Chima Pink granite is that Rosy Pink has darker pink shade and the size of black and grey particle is larger than Chima Pink.

Desert Brown

Desert Brown is type of brown granite quarried in Rajasthan. Its color varies from light coffee brown to medium brown. There are number of black and dark brown particles present in the brown surface of the stone.

Tiger Skin

Tiger Skin is kind of brown granite which has number of black stripes like pattern in the background of the stone. It is because of these black stripes it is called tiger skin as these black stripes like pattern present in stone is similar to the one present on the tiger. It is very good choice for flooring , countertops and stair cases.

Black Marquino

Black Marquino also known as river black is black granite having number of white small stream like pattern in the black background of the stone. This stone can be a good subside to Black Forest granite. This granite is especially good for making high quality countertops because of its attractive color and pattern.

Coin Black

Coin Black is black granite having number of grey colored coins like pattern in the dark black background of the stone. It is also known as Oyster Black. It is relatively new granite found in the Rajasthan. It is recommended for both interior and external construction purposes.
